Back to Reality...

Okay, I get it!  

I am assuming I am not the only mom, at the end of my pregnancy, that just wants it to be over. Since I was about 32 weeks I was so ready to be done already!  At 36 weeks (let's be honest, it was more like 34 or 35 weeks) I contemplated ways to induce labor.  I can't tell you how many times in the last few days I have read or seen articles about how it is dangerous to choose your own due date, or induce early.  I have been reminded that a due date is only an estimate.  After all, EDD does mean estimated due date.  I have also been reminded that it is not abnormal for an EDD to be off by 2 weeks (for some unlucky mothers that means 2 weeks longer). 

Luckily for me it will always be 39 weeks.  I know I complain about not being able to have baby earlier, but I can deal with 2 more weeks, if that is what nature intends.  Of course I will welcome early labor with my arms wide open.  However, I promise here and now that I will not try to make myself go into labor early.  

14 days and 13 hours from now Baby B will make his entrance into this world.  I can live with that....

...hopefully!  

Cravings...?

During this whole pregnancy, and all previous pregnancies, eggs of any variety were a huge NO NO!  In fact, looking at this picture almost makes me sick.  This sickness didn't just plague me during pregnancy.  After my first one I could hardly ever eat eggs, unless they were cooked just perfectly by yours truly.

So, can anyone explain to me why, at 36 weeks and 1 day pregnant, all I wanted for dinner was a big bowl of...you guessed it...

Scrambled Eggs!!!

In fact, I think I may even have some more tonight.  YUM!

Nesting to the Extreme...

As you all know, this pregnancy has been a bit crazy.  And to say a "bit" doesn't even come close to describing how my life has been the last few months.  We moved twice in 3 months...yes you heard it right!  I was excited upon the first move, because we were moving into a 4 bedroom house and that would mean I could have a nursery for baby boy.  It didn't turn out as I had first envisioned, but I was in love with it none the less. Those of you who know me well, know that I do not like all things generic, and a generic boy nursery is not up my alley. 

I finished the nursery and not more than a few weeks later the dreaded news came.  We will be moving.  Then the harder realization came...there was no way we were finding a 4 bedroom house.  Time for the boys to bunk up! 

In my life things have to coordinate, they have to match.  I am very much OCD when it comes to this issue.  Now, my cute little safari themed nursery in NO way matched with the airplane/spiderman room that Preston has.  (I know, I know, airplanes and spiderman don't match either, but I have learned to live with it.)  I quickly learned that removing all (or even some) things spiderman was a crime to humanity.  So, needless to say my nursery plans had to change. Baby does not care what he sleeps in.  Preston, on the other hand, may never forgive me.  This is what we ended up with.

This is how he would much rather his bed look.  He came in right before I took the picture of the room and saw that his precious spiderman was covered, and I thought that poor boy was going to have a heart attack.

As you can tell, we did not paint this house.  Moving at 34 weeks was hard enough, I was not about to paint as well.

A Little Bit of Whine....

Excuse me for one post.  I just have to say it!  

These may not look like swollen feet, but rest assured people, for me this is puffy pregnancy feet.  Not fun!  The worst part?  My hubby is not around to rub them.  How in the world did he get out of the last month of this pregnancy?

At 35 1/2 weeks I feel like I am getting bigger.  I think it really started happening last night because today I was so uncomfortable..even in the water.  Really I am just jealous that one of my friends, due about the same time as me, was induced today.  So not fair!
Pregnancy glow?  Nope.  I work hard by sitting at the pool all day!  What a life.
This post is really just a procrastination on a blog about the most recent move and my new house.  It will happen.  I just have to clean my house before I can take pictures.  I can't have you thinking that I live in a less than perfect home at all times!  Be proud of me though.  I blogged 2 days in a row!

After seeing this picture, my precious baby boy said, "Look mommy it is Jesus!  I like him, he is my friend"

Happy Memorial Day

On this day, my 196th of pregnancy, I am left to wonder...Will there ever be an end?  I can't breathe, I can't sleep, my back hurts...I could go on and on!

According to the countdown, I have 83 days to go.    

Am  I complaining?  Yes.    

Trying to jump-start...

Okay, okay...I know it has been a while.  A long time really!  I swear, to my one devoted reader, that I will begin to blog once again.  My goal being that I will try to blog once a week, at least until the baby is born.  I can make no promises...but I will try to improve!
